CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSE
CONTEMPORARY PERIODONTAL SURGERY AT THE CENTER OF THE MODERN DENTISTRY: FROM THE ERA OF MYTH TO THAT OF GUIDELINES
The Course is dedicated to the most traditional surgical procedure in Periodontology: flap surgery. For decades, we have debated in Periodontology whether it was better to raise a flap to access the root surfaces or to persist solely with non-surgical treatment. The Course is divided into three main sessions: flap periodontal surgery in the treatment of residual pockets, periodontal surgery and reconstructive dentistry, and periodontal surgery and dental implants. The idea is to contextualize, thanks to a series of extraordinary Speakers, the role of surgical periodontal treatment as central to multiple treatments in modern dentistry. In parallel, we will dedicate an event to non-surgical therapy titled "See or not see? Potentialities, benefits, and limitations of non-surgical therapy," attempting to explore the factors that influence healing from non-surgical therapy at the patient, tooth, and site levels.

SIdP & OSTEOLOGY FOUNDATION JOINT MEETING
INNOVATION AND CHALLENGES IN MODERN REGENERATION: WHAT WE KNOW AND WHAT IS COMING for Dentists and Dental Students
The modern clinical landscape is increasingly filled with challenges that, until just a few years ago, were considered unimaginable. Saving teeth severely compromised by periodontitis or restoring aesthetics and function with dental implants, even in cases of previous implant failure, are now everyday clinical scenarios rather than rare exceptions in the profession. This constant sense of improvement and challenge has now become a stable driving force in our discipline, and it represents the crucial essence of this incredible SIdP-Osteology meeting.

NEW SOLUTIONS FOR OLD PROBLEMS? Innovations, clinical scenarios, and new technologies for the Periodontology of the future for Dental Hygienists and DH Students
Over the past ten years, we have witnessed a radical shift in therapeutic paradigms in periodontology, which has emphasized the value of the individual patient, considering their specific risk factors and clinical expectations in order to develop the most personalized treatment plan possible. In this context of innovation, new technologies seem to be an indispensable support in the modern clinical landscape. This Course aims to offer a journey into therapeutic modernity, combining the main biological and diagnostic changes across the different therapeutic phases with the new technologies in the treatment of periodontal and peri-implant lesions.
