1st Symposium in memory of Professor Giorgio Vogel

The Academia and the Italian Society of Periodontology and Implantology want to devote a symposium entirely free and recurring every other year to the memory of Professors Marcello Cattabriga and Giorgio Vogel.
Highly esteemed Active Members of SIdP since the time of the foundation, they have actively participated in the development and conduct of the Society, serving also in the office of President.
Both events will be organized jointly with the University of Rome and Milan.
The 1st Symposium in memory of Professor Marcello Cattabriga was held in Rome on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th, December 2014.
The 1st Symposium in memory of Professor Giorgio Vogel will be held in Milan: 27th to 28th November, 2015

In the recent years SIdP developed education projects on single topics, based on conferences and/or courses with the same contents in terms of text and images, delivered in several editions throughout Italy and sharing the followings topics: Diagnosis, Implants, therapy, video education, Periomedicine, Life style.
SIdP, always follows its mission, and in order to give a contribution to the quality and safety of the therapies for Italian people, realized for the years 2014-2015-2016 a Project of communication and information to the Italian Dentists with the topic: Quality and Safety in Periodontal and Implant Surgery. The project will give to the dentist a model on how to organize the dental office, so to give the patients a minimal standard of safety and quality in periodontal and implant surgery. The model is summarized into a check-list that codifies the procedures for planning, preparing, doing and managing in the post-op such procedures.

An initiative to grow together under the guidance of a SIdP active member or SIdP certificate member. The initiative was reserved for Dentists.
Discussion topic for 2015:
“Flap design and suturing techniques in Periodontology and Implantology”
Discussion topic for 2016:
“Diagnosis and treatment plan in the periodontal patient”
An initial presentation will be followed by a discussion among the participants moderated by a SIdP active member or a SIdP certificate member. Participation is limited to small groups to facilitate the dialogue among the participants (max. 20 persons).
